Zabuza Momochi’s Background

Zabuza was born in the Hidden Mist Village, a ninja village located in the Land of Water. The village was known for its harsh and violent environment, where the ninja were trained to be ruthless killers.

Zabuza was a prodigy, who graduated from the Ninja Academy at the age of nine, after killing over a hundred of his classmates in a death match, a practice that was later abolished. He earned the nickname of the Demon of the Hidden Mist, and became feared and respected by his peers.

Zabuza joined the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, a group of elite ninja who wielded unique and powerful blades. Zabuza acquired the Kubikiribōchō, a massive sword with a serrated edge that could regenerate itself by absorbing the iron from the blood of its victims.

Zabuza also became a member of the Anbu Black Ops, a covert unit that carried out secret missions for the village. He was a loyal and skilled ninja, who completed many assignments and killed many enemies.

However, Zabuza grew dissatisfied with the village and its leader, the Fourth Mizukage, who was secretly controlled by a rogue ninja named Obito Uchiha, under the alias of Tobi.

Zabuza gathered a group of followers and attempted a coup d’etat, aiming to assassinate the Mizukage and take over the village. However, the coup failed, as one of Zabuza’s subordinates betrayed him and alerted the authorities. Zabuza and his group were forced to flee the village, and became missing-nin, or rogue ninja.

Zabuza became a mercenary, who worked as a hired assassin for various clients. He traveled around the world, killing anyone who paid him enough money. He also found a young boy named Haku, who had a rare bloodline limit that allowed him to manipulate ice.

Zabuza took Haku in as his tool and trained him to be the ultimate weapon. Zabuza and Haku formed a bond, as they were both outcasts and loners. Zabuza also developed a respect and friendship with another missing-nin, Kisame Hoshigaki, who was also a former member of the Seven Swordsmen.

Zabuza Momochi’s Personality

Zabuza was a cold and ruthless person, who had no qualms about killing anyone who stood in his way. He was a professional assassin, who did not care about the morality or consequences of his actions, as long as he got paid.

He was also ambitious and power-hungry, as he tried to overthrow the Mizukage and take over the Hidden Mist Village. He was also arrogant and confident, as he believed that he was the strongest and the best. He did not show any mercy or compassion to his enemies, and often mocked and taunted them.

However, Zabuza was not completely heartless, as he had a soft spot for Haku, whom he considered his precious tool and his only friend. He cared for Haku’s well-being and safety, and often praised and rewarded him for his loyalty and performance.

He also trusted Haku completely, and relied on him for support and assistance. He was also grateful and proud of Haku, and acknowledged him as his partner and equal. He also showed remorse and sorrow when Haku died, and admitted that he loved him as a person, not as a tool.

Zabuza also had a sense of honor and respect, as he recognized the strength and skill of his opponents, especially Kakashi Hatake, whom he considered his rival and worthy adversary.

He also respected the will and determination of Naruto Uzumaki, who reminded him of his younger self. He also appreciated the kindness and compassion of Sakura Haruno, who tried to heal his wounds. He also influenced the development and growth of Naruto and his friends, as well as the outcome of the Fourth Shinobi World War.

Land of Waves Arc

Zabuza first appeared in the Land of Waves arc, where he was hired by a corrupt businessman named Gato to kill a bridge builder named Tazuna, who was protected by Naruto Uzumaki and his team.

Zabuza attacked Tazuna and his escorts on their way to the Land of Waves, and fought against Kakashi Hatake, Naruto’s teacher and a former member of the elite Anbu Black Ops.

Zabuza managed to trap Kakashi in his Water Prison Technique, and was about to kill him, when Naruto and Sasuke Uchiha, Naruto’s rival and teammate, intervened and saved him.

Zabuza was impressed by Naruto’s courage and determination, and decided to spare him for the time being. However, before he could resume his attack, he was seemingly killed by a masked hunter-nin, who was actually Haku in disguise.

Zabuza survived the attack, thanks to Haku’s intervention, and was taken to a safe house, where he was healed by Haku. He then planned to attack Tazuna again, and waited for the right moment.

He also learned that Kakashi was the Copy Ninja, who had copied over a thousand techniques using his Sharingan, a rare and powerful eye technique.

Zabuza decided to use Haku as his trump card, and sent him to fight against Naruto and Sasuke, while he confronted Kakashi and Sakura Haruno, Naruto’s friend and teammate.

Zabuza and Kakashi engaged in a fierce battle, where they used their water techniques and their intelligence to outsmart and outmatch each other.

Zabuza also used his Hiding in Mist Technique and his Silent Killing technique to gain an edge over Kakashi, who relied on his Sharingan to see through the mist.

Zabuza also used his Kubikiribōchō and his Demon Slash technique to attack Kakashi, who countered with his Lightning Blade technique. The fight was evenly matched, until Zabuza revealed his trump card: Haku, who had killed Naruto and Sasuke, and who was now under his control.

Zabuza ordered Haku to kill Kakashi, who was shocked and saddened by the death of his students. However, before Haku could strike, Naruto and Sasuke, who had survived Haku’s attack, arrived and saved Kakashi.

Naruto was enraged by Zabuza’s treatment of Haku, and attacked him with his Nine-Tails Chakra Mode, a powerful transformation that granted him the power of Kurama, the Nine-Tailed Fox that was sealed inside him. Naruto managed to overpower Zabuza, and punched him in the face, breaking his arm and his sword.

Naruto then lectured Zabuza about his cruelty and heartlessness, and how he had used Haku as a tool, not as a friend. Naruto told Zabuza that Haku had sacrificed himself for him, and that he had loved him as a person, not as a tool.

Naruto also told Zabuza that he had inspired him to become a better ninja, and that he wanted to be like him. Naruto then asked Zabuza if he had ever cared for Haku, or if he had ever cried for him.

Zabuza was moved by Naruto’s words, and realized that he had been wrong about Haku, and that he had wasted his life. He then decided to redeem himself, and asked Kakashi to lend him a kunai. Kakashi agreed, and gave him a kunai, which Zabuza used to kill Gato, who had arrived with his thugs to kill Tazuna and his family.

Zabuza then fought against Gato’s men, using his remaining strength and his teeth, and killed many of them. He then asked Kakashi to bring him to Haku’s side, where he apologized to him, and thanked him for his loyalty and friendship. He then died, holding Haku’s hand, and shed tears for the first time in his life.

Zabuza and Haku’s bodies were buried by Naruto and his team, who honored them as brave and noble ninja. Naruto and his team also completed their mission, and protected Tazuna and his family, who finished building the bridge that connected the Land of Waves to the mainland. The bridge was named the Great Naruto Bridge, in honor of Naruto, who had changed the lives of many people, including Zabuza and Haku.

Zabuza was also reunited with Haku, who was also reanimated, and expressed his gratitude and regret for his death.

Zabuza and Haku were assigned to the Surprise Attack Division, led by Kakuzu, another reanimated ninja and a former member of the Akatsuki, a criminal organization that had captured and extracted the tailed beasts from their jinchuriki, such as Naruto.

Naruto and Kakashi also told Zabuza and Haku that they had inspired them to become better ninja, and that they wanted to be like them. Naruto and Kakashi also told Zabuza and Haku that they were sorry for their deaths, and that they wanted to save them from their fate.

Zabuza and Haku’s souls were later seen in the Pure Land, a realm where the dead reside. Zabuza and Haku were reunited with their friends and comrades, such as Kisame and the other Swordsmen.

Zabuza and Haku also watched over Naruto and his team, who managed to defeat Madara and Obito, and save the world from the Infinite Tsukuyomi. Zabuza and Haku were proud and happy for Naruto and his team, and smiled as they rested in peace.
