Appearance Shoko Ieiri
Shoko is a tall woman with long brown hair that extends past her shoulders that she sometimes ties into a ponytail when working. She has soft brown eyes with dark lines under them, making it appear as if she’s underslept. Shoko has a mole underneath her right eye and thick brown eyebrows.
Shoko normally sports a white lab coat over a blue turtle neck swear and darker navy blue pants that reach just above her ankle. She finishes her outfit with cream colored high heeled shoes.
As a student, Shoko had short length hair that only reached just past her chin. She wore the typical jacket-type jujutsu high uniform. For casual wear during the summer, she wore a long sleeved shirt, shorts, and sandals.
Shoko Ieiri Personality
Shoko is a very laid back and nonchalant person, especially compared to Ijichi high-strung attitude and the overly playful Satoru. As a student alongside Satoru and Suguru, she would let the two fight and simply remove herself from the situation as it escalated.
She enjoyed poking fun at them like when she called them both trash for Utahime or when she took Satoru’s sunglasses and wore them after he was punished by Yaga.
Shoko didn’t appear to take any situation very seriously in general back then. Shoko would openly smoke in public despite obviously being a high schooler. Even after Suguru went rogue, Shoko was able to have a casual conversation with him about what he did.
She was totally comfortable asking Suguru about the accusations and even called him childish for sulking because no one understands him. She even called Satoru to come to confront Suguru right in front of him without any fear for her own life.
As the school doctor, Shoko appears to take her job seriously but she’s very stoic. While Satoru was upset about Yuji’s demise, Shoko kept her personal feelings out of the situation and only wanted to perform an autopsy, noting that Satoru was being more emotional than usual.
Apparently, Shoko often gets nostalgic about her highschool days and will decide to smoke a cigarette despite quitting the habit.
Shoko remains composed out on the field and wasn’t concerned about being discovered in Shibuya despite the danger of being a high-value target.
She was fine being protected by a few of his cursed corpses but she assured Yaga he didn’t need to guard her personally.
Synopsis Shoko Ieiri
Gojo’s Past Arc
When Shoko was a second year student at the college, Shoko along with Gojo and Geto go to check up on Mei Mei and Utahime Iori after they haven’t heard from them in two days.
After making sure that Mei Mei and Utahime are okay and that the spirit has been handled, Utahime along with Geto and Gojo meet with Masamichi Yaga, where Gojo is punished for not putting up a screen.
Later Shoko is with Geto and Gojo, as Gojo and Geto discuss the important use of screens. When Gojo and Geto start to argue about the strong protecting the weak and the role of sorcerers in this curse-filled world, Shoko quickly runs away.
A year later, Shoko and Geto help out with testing Gojo’s technique. After Gojo explains how his new technique works, Shoko says that Gojo will fry his brain if he leaves the technique always active, but Gojo replies that he has a recovery technique active as well.
Sometime later, Shoko has an encounter with Geto in Shinjuku, she calls Gojo and tells him she spotted their former classmate.
Cursed Training Arc
Shoko meets up with Gojo and Kiyotaka Ijichi, at the college morgue to examine Yuji Itadori’s body. As Shoko is about to start the dissection, she is disappointed when Yuji is revived since she won’t be able to examine his body.
Shoko and Gojo then head out and talk about how they won’t inform the higher-ups that Yuji is alive, since Gojo wants to increase Yuji’s strength.
Vs. Mahito Arc
Shoko calls Kento Nanami and Yuji, and informs them that the cursed spirits they sent her were once humans. She explains how someone has transformed the humans’ bodies and that they all had died from the shock of their bodies being transformed.
Shibuya Incident Arc
On October 31, Shoko has set up a place to heal wounded sorcerers during the Shibuya incident. Shoko is with Masamichi, and tells him that she doesn’t need him there.
Masamichi explains how they can’t leave Shoko alone since she is the only one that can use reverse techniques to heal sorcerers who are wounded in battle. Shoko is with Masamichi when Sukuna delivers Megumi Fushiguro to them.
Abilities and Powers Shoko Ieiri
Shoko deducing the true nature of the transfigured humans.
Overall Skill Level: Shoko was never a combat type of sorcerer and never trained to be as a student. Shoko has not shown the capacity to use normal cursed techniques, but she’s always possessed the rare ability to use a reverse cursed technique.
She can convert it into output and apply it to others in order to regenerate lost limbs and heal would, something Satoru Gojo cannot even do.
However, when asked how it works, Shoko is unable to put it into proper words that could effectively teach someone else how to use it.
Shoko possesses the knowledge required of a proper doctor while also possessing the sorcery skills to save her comrades at a moment’s notice. She is invaluable to the sorcerers of Jujutsu High.
When Nanami was injured by Mahito in their first fight, he retreated to Jujutsu High to receive treatment from Shoko. Ijichi and Ino both would have died if they weren’t immediately treated by her during the Shibuya Incident.
Her skills as a doctor also make Shoko very knowledgeable in the realm of sorcery as it relates to biology. By dissecting two transfigured humans, Shoko was the one who was able to discover they weren’t actually cursed spirits but former humans transfigured by a cursed technique.
Shoko was also the one who correctly theorized that the Culling Game’s cursed technique removal punishment would affect players’ brains and end their life as a result.
Reverse Cursed Technique: Shoko is an expert user of reversed cursed technique and her role as the doctor requires her to use it often to heal injured comrades.
Not many people can utilize reverse cursed energy and even fewer can use it on people other than themselves. This is what makes Shoko’s abilities in her role so valuable to Jujutsu High.
